 Akshay for paying taxes

Updated at: 1851 PST,  Wednesday, February 02, 2011
Akshay for paying taxes MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar is one actor who believes in paying taxes correctly. With the recent case of Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra being subjected to raids by Income Tax officials, Akshay's stand seems apt.

We asked Akshay a pointed question on taxes and he retorted: "One needs to be true to oneself and to his or her country. Paying tax to the government is our duty. We should not even think of evading it.

After all, we have made it big because of the support of our country, then why not fulfil our duties towards the government?" Point taken, Mr Kumar. What you say certainly makes sense, unlike your films of late. Hope the concerned get the message.
