US “sorry” for Shah Rukh Khan's detention at airport
WASHINGTON: US State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland Friday responded to Shahrukh Khan’s detention at US airport Nuland by saying the US esteems Shahrukh’s work for film industry.

“We feel sorry on the incident happened with Shahrukh Khan,” she added.

Khan landed at the airport in White Plains, New York, on Thursday en route to deliver a lecture at Yale University when he was stopped. He recounted the experience in the lecture, which media reports said was delayed by several hours because of the incident.
