Millie Bobby Brown’s fake skincare routine left the Internet puzzled

It’s a skincare line made of thin air.

Or that it what it seemed like when Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown put a promotional video of her Florence by Mills skincare line, in which she can be seen pretending - yes pretending - to apply the products. The two-minute video – that has since been deleted from Instagram but still remains on YouTube - was to show the actress recreate her bedtime skincare routine.

#action=share

But as social media later pointed out, the 15-year-old was only rubbing her hands on her face, without using the products. Others highlighted that her makeup remained intact throughout the tutorial.

“The mist is the only thing she actually used,” one comment read. “This girl basically just spent two minutes rubbing her face with her bare hands.”

“Are we going to ignore the fact she never put anything on her face?” another added.

Brown has now apologized for the fake video with a message on her Instagram. “I’m still learning the best way to share my routines as I get to know this space better – I’m not an expert,” she posted. “I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was okay, but that’s not what was conveyed. I understand, I appreciate all of your feedback on this journey, please keep sharing your thoughts and I will too.”

Ouch!
