American animated sitcom Family Guy's latest episode, which aired on Sunday, took a swipe at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over their multi-million dollar Netflix deal.

In the episode, Peter Griffin, voiced by Seth MacFarlane, compares himself to the US-based couple who stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 after developing some serious differences.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a £81million contract with the streaming giant and they have produced a documentary Harry & Meghan and Heart of Invictus as part of their deal.

On the latest episode of Family Guy, Peter says he will “go it alone” like Meg and Harry.

It then shows Harry and Meghan lounging by the pool in California as a butler hands them money.

He says: “Sir, your millions from Netflix for... no-one knows what.”

The cartoon depicting Harry replies: “Put it with the rest of them”.

Meghan’s phone then buzzes - and she tells Harry: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”

In a dig at the firm, Harry replies: “I shouldn't have left the made-up nonsense”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at loggerheads with the British royal family since they left the UK.

They have attacked senior members of the family in their media appearances, Netflix documentary, and Harry's book Spare.
