The dispute between Kevin Costner and the showrunner Taylor Sheridan is reportedly affecting Yellowstone leading its makers to mull for different storylines.

“They’ve internally discussed going a couple of different ways with the storyline if Kevin doesn’t return,” a tipster tattled.

Reports suggest the Oscar winner—who played John Dutton—return to the hit Paramount series is in limbo and the premiere is supposed to go on-air in November.

Well-placed sources reveal the co-creator of the series may depicted an incident in the show that could explain the absence of the star after he reportedly had a fallout with Taylor over creative control and scheduling issues.

“[Taylor Sheridan] could incorporate a big event to explain the disappearance [of Dutton], or there’s a calculative move to protect his family from an enemy.”

In case Kevin does not appear in the forthcoming final season, the insiders told the Us Weekly the series will “focus on the children and the ranch hands and their relationships, conflicts, and alliances.”
