Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum are set to hit big screen together for the first time in the upcoming film, Fly Me to the Moon.

Directed by Greg Berlanti, the film is set against the backdrop of NASA's 1969 moon landing.

In Fly Me to the Moon, Johansson plays the role of Kelly Jones, a member of the marketing team tasked with sprucing up NASA's image, while Tatum plays Cole Davis, the launch director.

According to PEOPLE report, Johansson, also serving as a producer on the film, revealed her excitement about working with Tatum.

She said, "Channing is such an easy-going actor, good spirited and professional. Falling in love with him onscreen was pretty easy. He’s such a likable person."

"Kelly and Cole are such opposites. It was fun to play that dynamic with Channing," she added.

Berlanti also shared the inspiration behind the film with the outlet, stating, "the inspiration for this story, was to craft a big, fun, smart original movie around whether or not the American government could have possibly faked the Apollo 11 moon landing, which is still the most-watched live TV event in the history of the world and has since become one of the most talked about conspiracy theories."

Fly Me to the Moon, is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 12.
