Demi Moore displayed an impressive level of calmness as she ate the wings of death during the Hot Ones.
Demi, who recently appeared in The Substance, wasn’t fazed in the least bit as she went through increasingly spicy wings with host Sean Evans.
The actress’ nose began to run when she ate the first wing, and she said: “I’m just dabbing my nose. It doesn’t mean it’s too hot for me, it just means my nose is running. Excuse me. Not a good look.”
When she reached the third sauce, she remarked: “This is like baby s—. Like come on now, Sean, what are we doing here?”
She then said: “I’ll take it in. See, I might be getting too grandiose. Let me just keep my humility.”
After the fourth sauce, she said: “I’d really like to tell you that this has something to it, but it’s got a very subtle, very, very light back end of spice. It’s not baby s--- and it’s got some OK flavor, so maybe I should just be in appreciation of how light and easy these are right now.”
Evans then remarked: “I kind of like this sort of antagonistic relationship that you’re building with the gauntlet already. I like it. Lean into it.”
Finally reaching the Da Bomb, the Indecent Proposal star declared: “It’s spicy.” Noticing how Evans had begun to move in his chair, she said: “You look like you’re hurting over there.”
Laughing, he said: “Demi, I need you to hold my hand through this experience,” he said. “Usually I try to support, but I might need to lean on you in this situation. It never gets easier for me.”
Demi Moore has generated Oscar buzz through her acting in The Substance, which also stars Margaret Qualley as a younger version of her.
