Prince William and Kate Middleton’s younger son Prince Louis has sent a heartfelt message to his grandfather King Charles after the Princess of Wales received a special gift from the monarch.

King Charles gave Kate Middleton a special gift in support of her Together At Christmas carol service despite being absent from it.

According to the GB News, the monarch donated countless fir trees that were used to decorate Westminster Abbey for Kate Middleton’s carol service.

Dubbed the "kindness trees", the fir trees were decorated with handwritten notes by guests with messages of thanks and kindness towards loved ones.

Kate and William’s son Prince Louis also wrote a heartfelt note on the "kindness tree."

Expressing gratitude to his maternal grandparents, Prince Louis said: "Thank you to Granny and Grandpa because they have played games with me."

Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and other members of the royal family joined Kate Middleton for the annual event.

Meanwhile, following the service, Kate Middleton said, “Great to welcome so many inspiring people to Westminster Abbey last night. Thank you to each and every one of you for making it such a special evening filled with love, empathy and festive cheer.”
