Tyler Perry breaks silence years after lending Meghan Markle his home in LA

Meghan Markle’s pal Tyler Perry has spoken publicly about the Duchess and Duke for the vey first time since offering them his LA abode, back when they had moved from Canada to the US to house hunt.

The 55-year-old shared all this in a conversation with The Times and its come after the royal was seen shoulder to shoulder with Perry for his charity gala.

It is pertinent to mention that Perry is also the godfather to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet.

Upon the questioning, regarding what kind of preparation he helped Meghan get when she moved into his $18m California home, Perry shot back with a ‘frosty’ admission and said, “I didn’t.”

However, he did get candid about the world’s ‘need’ to know the Duke and Duchess more.

According to Perry, “Meghan is from California. She knows California well. So there was nothing to prepare them for.”

“But I will say this: what I learnt about mentioning them - because there’s this insatiable appetite to know all about them - is that any question that is asked becomes the headline of anything I say.”

This led the interview to ask why such an appetite exits in the first place, by Perry only responded with the words, “You’re from the UK, you tell me.”

The clash didn’t end there either, the interview fired back by saying that headlines were the same on both sides of the pond by Perry only added, “You think? Well, you would know better than I would because I’m not paying attention to that world.”

By the end it was clear that the conversation had to be steered to “the next scene” because he was not interested in getting more questions about the royal.
