Kathy Griffin, an American comedian, filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Randy Bick, one year ago.

On 13 January, the divorce, which she filed citing irreconcilable differences, was finalized in Los Angeles.

Their original prenuptial from back in 2019 ended up being honored in the settlement, having been signed by Griffin on 6 January and by Bick on 12 January.

Their property division mandated that $75,000 be paid by Griffin to Bick to cover his legal fees as well as his living expenses.

He had previously requested spousal support in March, however, he ended up waiving it during the settlement, because of the terms of their prenuptial.

They got married in January 2020 after having dated for nine years, and filed for divorce only a few days before their fourth anniversary.

She spoke about the separation process with People in May, stating that she was taking things "one day at a time".

"I thank God for this tour. I thank God it happened. I'm just so grateful to be on tour, so it takes my mind off it," the comedian continued.

It took Bick over two months to respond to the filing, and Griffin had to hire a private investigator to have the papers served to him.
