Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson continue to have disagreements over their daughter's schooling after recently settling their divorce.
The couple, who share five-year-old Juno, have agreed to the terms of their split, but are yet to agree on where will their little one go to school.
The Dawson's Creek alum, 46, and the Queen & Slim actress, 38, have agreed to use a mediator to plan a schedule for the 50-50 custody of their only child.
Additionally, Joshua will pay $2,787 in child support and there will be no monthly spousal support, rather a lump sum.
However, Jackson has opposed a court order regarding the actress getting to choose where their daughter will go to school.
In a declaration obtained by People Magazine, Turner-Smith stated that both she and Jackson had previously entered "into a Stipulation and Order to resolve the issue of selection of Juno’s school," that it authorised her "to make the final decision" regarding their daughter's education.
"As such, I have the clear authority to make the school selection in Juno’s best interest, and Josh is refusing to adhere to the terms of the Stipulation and Order and is depriving me of the right to select the school," she further wrote in the document.
Turner-Smith had even selected a school she felt "represents a stable and diverse environment where she can thrive both academically and personally," and informed Jackson that she planned to enroll their daughter there in April before their child was accepted.
After "consistent efforts to meet and confer with Josh in good faith" and meeting together with an education consultant, Jackson allegedly said he "never intended to honor" the order granting her the authority on the school selection.
In late April, his legal team "challenged my decision-making authority and objected to Juno’s enrollment" at the school and expressed "concerns about drive time," Turner-Smith wrote.
Turner-Smith is requesting $75,000 in attorney fees over the school disagreement, per the court documents.
The latest disagreement split comes over a year after the actress filed for divorce from her husband of four years in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 1, 2023. The date of separation was listed as September 13, 2023, four days after the pair celebrated her 37th birthday in New York.
