A 48-year-old man accused of stalking Jennifer Aniston for over a year has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly crashing his vehicle into the front gate of the actress's Bel-Air home while she was inside.

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle was arrested Monday afternoon and now faces charges of felony stalking, vandalism, and threatening great bodily harm.

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Carwyle had been sending Aniston unwanted social media messages, voicemails, and emails since March 2023.

The final message was reportedly sent on the same day he drove into her residence.

Authorities say the harassment "culminated" in the incident, which caused significant property damage and prompted an emergency response from Aniston's private security team.

As per Daily Mail, the suspect was allegedly held at gunpoint by security until Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived. Aniston, who was home at the time, did not come into direct contact with the suspect.

Prosecutors have announced they will request $150,000 bail during Carwyle’s arraignment, scheduled for Thursday.

If convicted, he could face up to three years in state prison, as per the outlet.

Disturbing social media posts, allegedly made by Carwyle, have surfaced following the incident.

Though unconfirmed, the posts, some referring to Aniston as his “bride” and using the name “Jennifer Aniston Carwyle,” suggest a fixation with the actress.

One post bizarrely alluded to a biblical union, comparing the pair to Adam and Eve.

The case has been handed over to the LAPD's Threat Management Unit, which specializes in handling celebrity and high-profile stalking cases.

As per the publication, Aniston was reportedly furious that her address had been made public, claiming she expected greater protection from authorities.

In a statement, District Attorney George Gascón emphasized the severity of stalking crimes, “Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities. My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others.”

Deputy District Attorney Sam Hulefeld from the office’s Stalking and Threat Assessment Team is leading the prosecution.

Furthermore, Aniston’s Bel-Air estate, purchased in 2011, was also the site of her 2015 wedding to actor Justin Theroux.
