Barry Keoghan just talked about his addiction.

The 32-year-old Oscar nominated actor previously has been vocal about his mother’s heroin addiction and how it impacted his life as well as his personal choices.

"I'm not in denial anymore. I understand that I do have an addiction, and I am an addict,” he told Authentic Hollywood.

The Irish star continued, "You know, when you accept that, you finally can move on, and learn to work with it."

Barry, who lost his mother when he was just 12 years old, revealed how illicit substance consumption has claimed the lives of some of his family members.

"I've lost two uncles and a cousin to drugs. That should be enough to go, 'OK, if I dabble here, I'm f**ked.' But your curiosity is a powerful thing,” the Saltburn talent stated.

He further mentioned, "Sometimes it's beneficial, and sometimes it's detrimental. For me, it was detrimental. Even my own son coming into this world didn't stop me from being curious.”

It was then noted that the actor rolled up his sleeves to show some marks on his arms and then said, "I've got scars here to literally prove it. They're a result of using"

However, Barry Keoghan, who is a father to two-year-old Brando, said that he is currently “at peace” after he learnt to be “present” for his son.
