Prince Harry’s name left the US audience in stiches after Nigel Farage made a joke about the Duke of Sussex.

During an interview at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, British politician and broadcaster talked of how the UK often picks up trends from the US.

He said America sends both good ideas and “woke” culture and then went on to crack a joke that Britain got even by sending Prince Harry in return.

"In my country, we tend to be a little bit behind,” he said. "America has all the new ideas, they take a few years to cross the pond.”

Farage added, "You send us many good things, and what you're doing in this space right now, this administration is good.

"You also send us bad things, because you sent us woke!"

"But you know what,” he continued. “We've got you back, because we sent you Prince Harry in return, alright!"

Nigel laughed along and nodded as the audience burst into laughter with him, as the interviewer added, "We appreciate that, quite a personality, we appreciate that Nigel."

This comes as Harry receives backlash for professionally splitting from Meghan Markle by setting up separate teams and working independently.

The Duke of Sussex is said to have hired 11 senior staff members, including a top communications strategist Meredith Kendall Maines.

Reports suggest Harry has spent the past nine months planning the move, and both he and Meghan will now have their own chiefs of staff.
