Kerry Condon reveals one way 'F1' role was made easy for her

Kerry Condon’s preparation load was lighter than it could have been for F1.

At the premier of the film, Condon shared that the executives of the film wanted her to use her Irish accent.

“I was like, 'Oh, thank God'; I had so many other things to think about," she gushed. "I thought, 'That's great.' "

The Banshees of Inisherin star went on to share why she agreed to do the film, noting that the trio of team of producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Joseph Kosinski, and star Brad Pitt made her happy to board the movie.

“It was the three of them, because I just knew then the scale of the movie was going to be massive," Condon shared.

“Jerry Bruckheimer movies are real American, big epic movies with action and emotion, and I never thought I would be a leading lady in one of these movies," she gushed.

“And Joseph was coming off [Top Gun: Maverick], and Brad, I don't need to say anything else," she added.

In F1, Pitt stars as veteran racer Sonny Hayes, who teams up with a younger racer and returns to Formula 1 in one last attempt at glory. The film was made under the heavy influence of producer Lewis Hamilton, who is a seven-time F1 world champion. Condon plays Kate, an employee of the F1 team the Troy star rejoins.
