Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath comeback for the Back To The Beginning has faced a minor setback.

As the highly-anticipated show nears, as a last-minute announcement, Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of the iconic Eddie Van Halen, confirmed that he would no longer be taking the stage due to scheduling conflicts.

“I, unfortunately, had to back out because the Creed tour starts the day after, and I wouldn't be able to pull it off unfortunately,” the Mammoth front man told WRIF Detroit, adding, “I'm very excited to watch it, but I unfortunately had to back out.”

This update comes just a few weeks before the Prince of Darkness is due to rock the Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5 for his final live performance at the Back To The Beginning show.

The show will see the original Black Sabbath line-up, which comprised of Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, mark a reunion performance for the first time in 20 years,

Additionally, even though Van Halen dropped out, Back To The Beginning still has an impeccable line-up waiting for rock and roll fans.

It includes the likes of Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Anthrax, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, and the surviving members of Soundgarden, who would be taking the stage.
