Todd Chrisley is sharing his son Grayson's reaction to his and wife Julie Chrisley’s return home after 28 months in prison.

The Chrisley Knows Best stars were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months of probation, while Julie received a sentence of seven years in prison and 16 months of probation.

The couple began their prison sentences in January 2023 and returned home on May 28 after President Trump granted them a full pardon.

Todd opened up about the prison experience and how it impacted their family during an appearance on My View with Lara Trump on Saturday, June 28.

Recalling Grayson’s reaction, he said, “He came in and he said, ‘Can I sleep with you tonight?’ I said, ‘You can.’ ”

“[The best part] is really just being together,” he remarked.

“I mean, you take those times for granted when they are home, and then when you realize one day it could be there and the next day it's not, you know, it means just a little bit more,” he reflected.

Grayson’s sister, Savannah Chrisley, chimed in, saying, “The first night he said, ‘I'm scared to go to sleep because I feel like I'm just going to wake up in the morning and they're not going to be here."

“Grayson’s always said, ‘I have two moms,’ because we're nine years apart. And so we've always been attached to the hip," she .shared

"And he's taught me more than any person in the world ever could the past two and a half years," she said, praising her 19-year-old brother.

"He thought I saved him when in reality he saved me … going through this together has been such a whirlwind," Savannah added.
