Black Sabbath guitarist, Tony Iommi just confirmed Ozzy Osbourne’s role in the upcoming Back To The Beginning gig, which is set to kick off on Saturday, July 5.

The heavy metal pioneer appeared in his latest interview with BBC Midlands Today and talked about Black Sabbath’s star-studded final show at Villa Park.

"We're all nervous really," Iommi confessed, adding, "People are coming from all over the world and I just can't absorb it.”

"This is totally different from anything else we've done. You know, we've played to 300,000 people, but this is nerve-racking. We're playing in our hometown, we've got all these bands on with us, and we haven't played together for 20 years," the War Pigs talent added.

Even though rehearsals have been well, the 77-year-old musician admitted how performing now isn’t as easy as it was back then.

"I wouldn't say it's been easy, it's been tough, because none of us are getting younger and to stand there for a couple of hours is tiring," Iommi said.

When asked about how many song the legendary Prince of Darkness, Osbourne, would be performing, he replied, "He might not be able to do the whole show, but he's gonna do four songs. He's singing fine. It's just a shame to see the way it is.”

“But that's life, I suppose. You've just gotta get on with it. But we're all looking forward to it, and all nervous as well, which is very unusual,” Black Sabbath star, Tony Iommi, concluded.

For anyone unversed, Back To The Beginning would be an all-day concert, which boasts the greatesy line-up in rock and metal music history.

With Jason Mamoa hosting the concert, musicians appearing alongside Black Sabbath would include Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan & Slash (Guns N' Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E. Lee, KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sleep Token II (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Zakk Wylde.
