Meghan Markle's hopes for star power boost for brand Sussex falls flat

Meghan Markle is said to be upset as Prince Harry’s friendship with Hollywood star, John Travolta, ended abruptly.

A report by Radar Online has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex saw Travolta as a valuable addition to her and Harry’s inner circle.

An insider shared that Meghan hoped his reputation and star power would lend credibility to their brand Sussex.

According to a source, it wasn’t just Harry who held high hopes for a close bond with the actor.

"It wasn't only Harry who had high hopes for John," the source told the publication.

They added, "Meghan viewed him as someone who could bring genuine credibility and star power to their inner circle."

As for Travolta, the insider said he is really not interested in getting close with Harry of Meghan or becoming a part of their brand.

"He's focused on his own life,” they said. “Becoming part of Team Sussex just isn’t something that suits him."

This comes after it was reported that Harry developed a close bond with the actor in 2023 and their friendship grew stronger over shared grief, flying, and a connection to Princess Diana. 

The report further added that Harry feels Travolta is ignoring him and his fears came true when he dropped an Instagram post with Britney Spears’ ex Sam Asghari.
