With Ozzy Osbourne's passing away, heavy metal has lost one of its loudest voices.
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and global icon lovingly dubbed the "Prince of Darkness," has met his demise at the age of 76.
Born in the quiet village of Marston Green in England, Ozzy rose from humble beginnings to become a defining force in rock music, his gritty vocals and chaotic charisma leaving an indelible mark on the genre.
Over the years, the British rocker battled numerous health setbacks, most notably Parkinson’s disease, which he revealed publicly in 2020.
Despite his declining health, Ozzy never shied away from the spotlight or his connection with fans and performed his last gig named Back to Beginning weeks before his death.
From his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to his honors on Birmingham’s Broad Street, and inductions into both the UK Music Hall of Fame and the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ozzy's impact transcended generations.
In a poignant twist, just days before his passing, RadarOnline.com revealed that Ozzy had been working on a second memoir, one that would, in many ways, serve as his final curtain call.
Even though Ozzy has already shared his success story in his 2009 memoir I Am Ozzy, the second tell-all book is reportedly "his version of writing the end credits."
A source told the outlet, “There’s a lot he wanted to get off his chest,” they added, hinting at a reflective and raw final message.
“Ozzy’s been through hell the past few years with his health, and writing this book gave him a sense of purpose. It’s not just a look back, it’s his way of signing off on his own terms,” the insider concluded.
However, no such news has been confirmed by either of his family members.
