Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are facing an unexpected health concern near their £3.5 million Cotswolds retreat, after a rare case of avian flu was detected close to their countryside home.
According to the Daily Mail, a confirmed case of bird flu was reported on November 22, prompting Blenheim Communities which is a local Facebook group that shares updates from the area to issue an alert to residents and visitors.
“Sadly, today an incidence of bird flu has been confirmed on our estate,” the message read.
“Currently, we only have a case within the park, but we continue to monitor both the park and wider estate.
We are working hard to limit the spread to the wider population by following DEFRA guidance and best practice.”
There are rare chances that the bird flu might affect the residents.
It is important to note that the royal family has already been hit with a serious health scare.
First, King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024. In March, Princess Catherine also confirmed her diagnosis.
The future Queen underwent preventative chemotherapy and is now in remission from cancer.
On the other hand, King Charles is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
