Ryan Gosling props up new business after ‘Barbie' success

After the blockbusting success of Barbie, Ryan Gosling is making a venture into the filmmaking business with a new company called General Admission.

Collaborating with the industry giant Amazon MGM Studios was the first act of the firm as they signed a first-look film deal.

Former executive of Apple, Jessie Henderson partnered with the Oscar nominee to run the company.

The deal stipulates the first-look deal of Amazon MGM will be available for three years on every film or show General Admission produces.

Furthermore, the venture aims to produce content for both streaming and theatrical release.

In the meantime, Ryan recently rocked the Academy Award with her performance on Barbie's I am Just Ken.

Giving an insight into the gig, the 43-year-old credited her family for giving useful tips.

“It was great. It was so fun because they came to the dress rehearsal the day before and so they were in the front row," he told People.

“They gave me some tips and some notes, all great notes. They are such a huge part of this for me." 

Noting, "It was my girl's interest in Barbie and disinterest in Ken that got me into this in the first place. It was beautiful to have them there at the end."
