Oliver Hudson is clarifying the previous remarks he made when admitting that he experienced childhood trauma due to his mom, Goldie Hawn, during a podcast.

During the latest episode of his and his sister Kate Hudson's Sibling Revelry podcast, Oliver confessed he is now even more hesitant to speak on the topic.

"I'm even afraid to talk about it to inflame this even more because everything is taken so far out of context. If you listen to the whole thing, it's more about my child feelings in that moment rather than me and how I feel about Mom as a parent," Oliver explained.

Kate revealed that Oliver, 47, "got in a little bit of heat" from their mom after he said he felt trauma throughout his childhood.

"I don't know who I would be without my mother," he added about Goldie.

"I can't even fathom it. The love that I have for her and the respect and the reverence that I have for her is beyond anything. So, it was just completely taken out of context," he continued.

Kate jokingly said she knew her brother's remarks would make headlines due to his "clickbait words."

"I can't leave my brother alone for a second," she joked at the time.

Oliver even agreed with his sister's point that his use of the word 'trauma' was taken in a way he had not intended.

"You say that word and immediately it inflames everything. There was no trauma coming from my mother, the way she raised me, in any way whatsoever," Oliver said.

He continued on to say, "You're speaking from a 5, 6-year-old perspective -- that's what I was doing. Without her, again, I'd be nothing."

Oliver concluded that from now on he would not say anything, "In retrospect, I'm just gonna shut the f*** ** from now on,"

For those unversed, Oliver's clarification came after he reflected on his childhood on the same podcast's March 18 episode and confessed he felt unprotected due to his mother, Goldie's busy schedule and relationship entanglements.
