How does one band give stunning tribute to John Elton?

Real Estates, a New-Jersey-based band rolled out their new album Daniel, and on the way, they gave a unique tribute to the British rockstar John Elton by performing his hit track.

Touched by their performance, the Egot winner invited the indie group’s frontman on his Apple radio show Rocket Hours.

“The new album is called Daniel,” the host remarked. “[A]nd you launched the album by playing our song ‘Daniel’ to an audience who were completely comprised of people who were called Daniel, right?”

The Cold Heart singer's comments were in reference to the band’s gig on the eve of their album release in February in Brooklyn, New York, club Union Pool.

At the show, the Real Estate paid a stunning tribute to John by belting out his 1973 hit Daniel.

“That’s right,” the band’s lead responded. “We had to go full steam with the gimmick, for sure.”

At the February event, Real Estate invited people only with the name of Daniel.

Intrigued by the choice, John asked Courtney how they managed to pull out the audience with such a specific condition.

“Well, the trick is to play a venue that is, like, 150 [capacity],” he continued. “So, you know, we didn’t need that many of them.”
