Timothee Chalamet, a French-American actor, is set to make his return to Saturday Night Live for the third time.

They announced on January 10 that the Dune star will not only be the host for the episode but he will also be the musical guest.

Chalamet is not a musician by profession, so it appears he will be performing the tracks from his recent film The Complete Known in which he plays Bob Dylan.

He has received several major nominations for his role including in the 2025 Golden Globes, the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as the 2025 Critics Choice Awards.

The last time he hosted the show was in November 2023 and before that in December 2020.

For 18 January, SNL revealed that Dave Chappelle will be the host with GloRilla taking on the part of musical guest.

Chappelle is going to be hosting for the fourth time. He went on to be awarded two Emmys for his work on the show in 2021 and 2017, the second one being the episode aired after Donald Trump was elected as the President of the United States.

“It was a perfect storm of circumstances that made me do it,” he explained, “Lorne Michaels is a genius. So Lorne had decided that he wanted … he was adamant that I do the slot after the election. ‘I want you to do the first show after the election.”
