Naomi Watts just made a scary health revelation!

The 54-year-old actress discussed how she has had issues with memory loss and has a fear that she might just get diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

She revealed how after entering early menopause, doctors have told the King Kong actress that she is at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s, a disorder that leads to confusion and memory loss.

In her new book, Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause, Watts recalled that when she was 36 years old, doctors told her that she was “close to menopause,” with the average women in the UK experiencing menopause between the ages of 45 to 55.

“The news for people like me, who went into early menopause, is dramatic,” The Impossible star wrote in her book.

She continued, “According to [neuroscientist Dr Lisa] Mosconi: ‘If you enter menopause before the age of 45, that in and of itself is a risk factor for developing Alzheimer’s.”

“Yikes! For those of us in early menopause, [Mosconi] says hormone therapy could be one way to lower that risk,” Watts added.

This is also not the first time Naomi Watts, who married Billy Crudup recently, opened up about her fear of memory loss, with having stated in the past that her struggle in remembering things made her feel “afraid” and “like a shell of herself.”
