Jay-Z just stood up against the "shocking and reckless disregard for the truth."
The iconic rapper and record executive is currently suing the anonymous Jane Doe as well as her legal team for defamation and malicious prosecution.
As per Rolling Stone, Jay-Z has now filed an amended complaint regarding the woman, claiming she had "not stopped" making statements about him, even though, back in February she had voluntarily agreed to dismiss the sexual assault lawsuit against him.
In the documents obtained by the outlet, the Young Forever rapper alleged that she uploaded a TikTok recently, mouthing the words, “You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to get an apology video out of me, I stand on what I said, f*** you.”
“By refusing to apologise, and continuing to ‘stand on what [she] said,’ despite all the evidence and, indeed, her own admissions to the contrary, Doe continues to display a shocking and reckless disregard for the truth that is both intentional and malicious,” the statement further read.
The amended complaint continued, “Doe never had any reasonable grounds to support any truth in her statements and acted with reckless disregard for the truth. In other words, she lied.”
Jay-Z has also accused Jane Doe’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee of tampering with Wikipedia pages.
“Buzbee directed his employees to edit Wikipedia pages to enhance Buzbee’s image and damage Mr. Carter’s and Roc Nation’s reputations,” the documents mentioned.
“Users with an IP address directly linked to the Buzbee Firm made over 100 positive edits to Buzbee’s Wikipedia page,” Jay-Z’s amended complaint further stated of the entire situation.
