King Charles big decision regarding his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet has reportedly left Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle ‘devastated’ and both are ‘genuinely shocked.’

According to a report by the Woman’s Day, King Charles has not publicly responded to Prince Harry’s peace offer.

The duke’s very public plea to reconcile with King Charles “who won’t speak to me” after years of estrangement was met with telling silence from the monarch.

The outlet, citing the royal insiders, says King Charles refusal to mend bridges with Harry, and wife Meghan, could cost the monarch ever seeing Archie and Lilibet again.

The source told the publication, “As far as Meghan’s concerned, this is Charles’ decision to not see his grandchildren – and if that’s the case she’s happy to keep them away.”

The royal sources further claimed it was the duchess and her PR friend Meredith Maines who orchestrated Prince Harry’s recent interview as a way to “force Charles’ hand” and see how serious he was about reuniting with Harry and his grandkids.

The insider says, “It felt like the only way they could get a message to Charles and tell him how much Harry wants to see him.

“They’re devastated and both genuinely shocked to have not had any response from Charles to the interview. It’s hurt Harry deeply and he’s starting to accept that the door’s really closed on his former life.”

In the interview with BBC recently, Prince Harry said, "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point."

"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," he added, but had now "forgiven" them.

"I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious," said Archie and Lilibet father, adding the dispute over his security had "always been the sticking point".
