King Charles receives major offer from US amid health worries: 'fantastic'

King Charles has received a major offer from US singer and songwriter Lionel Richie amid the monarch’s health concerns.

The Hello hitmaker Richie has enjoyed a long friendship with King Charles, and even performed at his Coronation concert at Windsor Castle in 2023.

He also paid tribute to King Charles by complimenting his dedication to service.

According to a report by the Radar Online, asked about the prospect of linking up for a memorable singalong, Richie said: "If The King wants to sing Easy like Sunday Morning with me, that's fantastic. It would be a hoot."

He said: "He is probably going to be the first royal to travel as much as you can imagine."

Lionel Richie added, "I can see him moving around quite a bit, but is he going to pop into the show and surprise me? You never know.”

The musician also applauded Queen Camilla, saying "Now Camilla, that would be possible.

"She is a hoot in the kindest of respects. She is so funny, and she has such a good sense of humor.

"They both do. I love her sense of humor."

The offer came days after a senior aide shared major update on King Charles health that the monarch is managing his illness amid “incredible advances” in medicine and is determined to live life “as normal as possible.”
