Prince William visited the Army Air Corps (ACC) IN Suffolk for the first time.
As the regiment's Colonel-in-Chief, the 42-year-old was granted this position back in May 2024 when King Charles officially handed over the role at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop.
HELLO! Magazine reports that this role would most likely have been given to the younger prince, Harry had he not stepped for as a senior working royal.
Harry has served as an Apache helicopter commander and co-pilot gunner with the Army Air Corps during his second tour to Afghanistan in 2012.
After the Prince of Wales arrived in a Wildcat helicopter, he was briefed over ACC's work and found out about 664 Squadron's operational lessons from overseas tours and how soldiers adapt to the new capabilities of the latest Apache AH-64E, a world leading attack helicopter.
William appeared to be in very high spirits during his visit as her handed out bacon and sausage rolls to soldiers calling the food "very good-smelling making my mouth water."
"Nothing worse than the smell of bacon in the room and you cannot eat it,” he hilariously added.
For the unversed, the ACC is the combat aviation arm of the British Army, with locations in Hampshire, Shropshire, Somerset and Suffolk.
