Prince William on Friday said that he was "delighted to attend the Royal Cornwall Show with The Duchess of Edinburgh."
The statement posted on his Instagram account said, "The show is a proud celebration of Cornish heritage, innovation and farming. Honoured to present The Duchy of Cornwall Award and meet those driving sustainable agriculture across the region."
The Prince of Wales was accompanied by the wife of his uncle, Prince Edward, the youngest brother of King Charles.
A statement issued on the royal family's website said, "The show was established in 1793 by The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, and aims to promote and support the further improvement of agriculture, associated industries, and the people within it. Over 200 years later, it one of the biggest Agricultural Shows in the country and attracts around 120,000 visitors every year."
"On arrival, Their Royal Highnesses visited the Royal Cornwall Food and Farming Pavilion which showcases dozens of the best artisan food and drink producers from across Cornwall, including Cornish cheeses, jams and preserves, as well as gins and other spirits," said the statement.
