The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, a charity organization, on Tuesday released a statement, thanking Prince Edward for hosting its Gold Award celebrations in Northern Ireland.
Sharing pictures of the youngest brother of King Charles social media, the charity, which helps young people gain essential skills, experience, confidence and resilience, wrote, "A wonderful time at our Gold Award celebrations in Northern Ireland."
"Massive congratulations to all of our Gold Award holders – you're all amazing."
It said, "Thank you to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh for hosting the celebrations – what an afternoon it was."
Prince Edward and his wife Duchess Sophie are often seen representing King Charles during royal duties.
Edward recently represented his eldest brother in Vatican when the new Pope Pope Leo XIV was inaugurated.
The king also sent him to attend the funeral for former US president Jimmy Carter in January.
According to some British media reports, Prince William is planning to give Edward and his wife key roles as senior members of the royal family when he becomes the king.
