Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, visited Rosendal Palace on Djurgården in Stockholm, said the royal family in a statement.

The statement said, "the palace is decorated in the Swedish Empire style, also known as the Karl Johan style, and still looks largely the same today as when it was built."

It said, "Rosendal Palace is open to visitors until August 31 in connection with guided tours."

The royal family said, "Rosendal Palace is one of the ten royal palaces and was built in the 1820s for King Karl XIV Johan. He and his family made frequent use of Rosendal during their summer stays in Stockholm."

Earlier this month,  the Crown Princess joined Britain's Prince William in Monaco during the "Blue Economy and Finance Forum".

The Swedish royal family shared two pictures of the royals on it's official Instagram account.

Prince William had attended the event without Kate Middleton who stayed home with the couple's children.

The Princess of Wales, who is in remission from cancer, is gradually returning to royal duties.

The Prince of Wales is often seen undertaking his royal duties in the UK and abroad alone.

The future king of the UK is also expected to Brazil later this year without his wife.
