Prince Harry reveals Meghan Markle’s rule in apparent swipe at Royal Family

Prince Harry has echoed Meghan Markle’s recent statement which sparked backlash from royal experts.

While attending the 2025 NEXUS Global Summit on Friday, June 27, Harry reiterated what Meghan said by noting that they live by “the truth.”

“My wife said to me very early on in our relationship ‘if you live your life by truth it's the most efficient way to live,’” he told Rachel Gerrol, co-founder and CEO of NEXUS.

“So yes, we will continue to live our life by truth and we will continue to stand up for what we believe in, the difference between right and wrong,” he added in front of an audience of philanthropists and investors.

This comes after Meghan made a similar comment during a recent podcast appearance.

When asked what she’d do if she could have a do-over with her public image, she said, "Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth.”

Her comment was taken as a swipe at the Royal Family and her time spent with them.

The Duke and Duchess have said similar things before and claimed that the royals lied to protect Prince William.

In their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, released in 2022, the Duke said, “They were happy to lie to protect my brother, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in 2020 after falling out with the Royal Family. They live in Montecito, California with their kids Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
