The late Queen Elizabeth reportedly had doubts about Meghan Markle’s love for Prince Harry.
As reported by MailOnline, the late Queen was “very worried” about Harry as he prepared to marry Meghan.
The great-niece of the Queen Mother and a granddaughter of King George VI, Lady Elizabeth, also known as Liza to her friends, made shocking revelations during her discussion with journalist and royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith.
As per Smith, Liza revealed what the late Queen actually thought about Meghan’s behaviour.
While the Duchess of Sussex was “full of charm” after her engagement to the Duke of Sussex in 2017, she became increasingly “bossy” as their wedding approached.
Smith revealed, “When we spoke two weeks before the May 19 wedding, Liza had just heard from the Queen. ‘The Number One Lady—I call her Jemima—says the jury is out on whether she likes Meghan’ said Liza.”
“‘My Jemima is very worried.’ In Liza’s view, ‘Harry is besotted and weak about women. We hope but don’t quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all.’”
“It’s worrying that so many people are questioning whether Meghan is right for Harry. The problem, bless his heart, is that Harry is neither bright nor strong, and she is both,” Liza allegedly said.
Smith went on to reveal that “According to Liza, the Queen was dismayed that Harry had asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the wedding service in St. George’s Chapel without first requesting permission from the Dean of Windsor.”
She added that Liza said that “Harry has blown his relationship with his grandmother” adding, “Harry seems to think the Queen can do what she wants, but she can’t. On the religious side, it is the Dean of Windsor’s jurisdiction.”
Notably, Liza also revealed that Meghan Markle upsetted the late Queen Elizabeth as she “wouldn’t tell her” about the wedding dress and that Prince Harry was “rude” to his grandmother for “ten minutes when they had tea with her.”
