Govt agrees to give subsidy on transportation charges KARACHI: Government has agreed to give subsidy on transportation expenses for goods brought to port from industries situated at least 100-kilo meters away from sea, Geo News reported.

Talks continued for more than seven months between exporters and the government concluded positively in favour of the former.

The government agreed to give subsidy in Trade Policy 2009-10.

Cement sector will be given 35 percent while other sectors will be given 50 percent subsidy on transportation charges.
